Beaches Town Center Blog

Is it possible to accomodate a farmers market? Is there parking? Restrooms? Real local farmers are in demand and need to be backed by the local businesses in order to get to commit. They work very hard to bring their product to market. With the help of some marketing from the Town Center and a good director I think it can change the way we shop in this little corner of the world. There is a great example just down the road (Jarboe Park). Their reputation is stellar.

The Farmer's Market now at Jarboe Park was once held in the parking lot adjacent to Shorelines. Later it was moved to Jarboe, probably to accommodate the greater number of vendors. I would love to see a Farmer's Market back in our Town Center but I rather doubt at this point it would be moved from there. I think we do regard that one as "our own" despite the fact it's down the street a bit!
